OUYA Firefox browser in the works at Mozilla

By
Mozilla is working on a version of its Firefox browser for the OUYA gaming console.

Mobile platform engineer Chris Lord revealed that his team are working on bringing the software to the Android system, but still have some bugs to iron out in the porting process.

Lord tweeted a screenshot of Firefox running on OUYA but admitted that the browser is "kinda unusable" at present.

OUYA is a Kickstarter-funded machine running off a Tegra 3 quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, making it roughly comparable to the Nexus 7 tablet in terms of raw power.

The console will launch with Google's Jelly Bean operating system on board and is one of several Android-based systems due to arrive on the market this year.
