New 'Wonderful 101', 'Bayonetta 2' trailers released

By
The Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta 2 have received new trailers.

Unveiled during today's Nintendo Direct presentation, Platinum Games released new gameplay footage for The Wonderful 101, before offering a behind-the-scenes look at Bayonetta 2.

The latest Wonderful 101 trailer looks at some of the game's unique boss battles, as well as a number of playable characters.

It also demonstrates how the GamePad will be used to solve puzzles and input codes when characters enter rooms.

The Wonderful 101 will be released exclusively for the Wii U during the first half of 2013.

The latest Bayonetta 2 video, meanwhile, looks at character and enemy design, before exploring some of the game's brand new environments.

One member of the team suggest that the scale will be "completely different", and that players will feel like they're battling the final boss from the very beginning.

Bayonetta 2 was announced as a Wii U-exclusive late last year, although it's unclear when it will be released.

During the same Direct presentation, Nintendo announced two new Legend of Zelda games, including an HD remake of GameCube adventure Wind Waker.

It also confirmed that a new Mario Kart and a 3D Super Mario game would be playable at the E3 gaming expo in June.

Elsewhere, Virtual Console has been dated for this spring, but kicks off today with Balloon Fight for the promotional price of 30p.

Also announced was a Yoshi Wii U adventure, a Xenoblade Chronicles sequel, a Wii Party sequel and a Shin-Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem crossover game.

Both the Wii U firmware and Miiverse will also receive a number of updates in the coming months.
