Vice City will launch as a PS2 Classic on January 29 in North America and the following day in Europe.
Costing £7.99 ($9.99), the game will be followed by more "classic Rockstar titles" in the weeks and months ahead.
PSN users can already download Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Grand Theft Auto 3.
It follows the release of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City 10th Anniversary Edition, which is out now on Android and iOS devices.
The mobile port includes new controls adapted for smartphone and tablet touchscreens, as well as native HD visuals and other new features.
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City originally released on the PlayStation 2 in 2002, combining the open-world gameplay of Grand Theft Auto 3 with a vibrant 1980s setting.
