PC users will have access to the 'Mercenaries: No Mercy' mode when the game launches on March 22 in North America and Europe.
Copyright: Capcom'No Mercy' ramps up the difficulty level in the 'Mercenaries' mode, introducing more enemies and giving users the chance to earn higher combo scores.
Capcom has also announced a brand new multiplayer mode for PC and consoles, titled 'Siege'.
Played over two rounds, 'Siege' sees two teams of up to three players attempt to either kill or save a lone agent as creatures or characters from the main game.
Releasing in March, 'Siege' will be available on Xbox 360 and PS3 for 320 Microsoft Points or £3.19 ($3.99).
It will be available for the PC, alongside the 'Survivors', 'Predator' and 'Onslaught' game modes, shortly after launch.
Resident Evil 6 is currently available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
The soon-to-be-released PC version will contain any additional content released through title updates, including the No Hope difficulty setting.
Downloading the game from Steam grants users access to cloud saving, leaderboards, friend support and achievements.
