Speaking on the game's developer blog, executive producer Steve Papoutsis revealed the four bonus modes that unlock after completing the game once.
It will include the standard New Game+ mode, which will let players start from the beginning with all weapons and equipment gathered while playing the game a first time.
The modes become more unique though with Classic mode, which replicates the style of the first Dead Space. That means the co-operative option will be removed, weapon aiming will be more like the original game and weapons can only be crafted through finding blueprints.
Pure Survival mode is almost the exact opposite, where enemies will not drop health, ammo or weapon parts and instead only drop crafting materials. Players will have to use the materials to create basic health items and ammo, while also trying to use those resources to upgrade weapons.
Finally there will be Hardcore mode, which only gives players a single life to complete the game.
It was recently revealed that owners of Mass Effect 3 would unlock bonus armour for Dead Space 3.
The Xbox 360 version of Dead Space 3 will feature Kinect support, with users able to say voice commands like "quick heal" and "give partner ammo" to perform certain actions.
The game's achievement list was also recently leaked, revealing possible spoilers for its story.
Dead Space 3 will be available for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on February 5 in North America and on February 8 in Europe.
