Among the new Skylanders announced are Washbuckler - a cutlass-wielding water elemental octopus - and Magnacharge, a tech elemental made up of magnets and a speed wheel.
Combining the top of Washbuckler and the bottom of Magnacharge would produce Washcharge.

Because the Skylander toys are more advanced, players will need to buy an upgraded portal to be able to play Swap Force. All single-piece toys will be compatible with the new portal.
16 single-piece core Skylanders toys will also be released for Swap Force, as well as a number of toys of returning characters in 'series 3' or LightCore forms.
It was also revealed that all Skylanders will have the ability to jump for the first time in the series.
Skylanders Swap Force will be released on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U, Wii and 3DS.
