The Wii U controller has become playable on a PC thanks to a user-made hack.
Chris Manning has managed to get the system's GamePad to work with the PC, allowing him to play an emulator using the controller's buttons, according to Kotaku.
While it doesn't yet work with controller's touch screen, it will be supported in an upcoming update.
Future plans include support for Steam games, the Dolphin emulator and streaming of PC games to the controller.
Nintendo recently said it is not planning a Wii U price cut despite lowered sales.
The publisher recently announced a host of new Wii U games as part of a Nintendo Direct conference.
Highlights include two Legend of Zelda games, including a Wind Waker remake, and that both a new Mario Kart and a 3D Super Mario are in development.
