The expansion includes three new maps and has players take on waves of enemies co-operatively, Sega has revealed.
A further three DLC packs for the game, containing a mixture of campaign and multiplayer content, have also been confirmed.
They will be available by the end of August individually as well as to holders of the Season Pass, a DLC subscription service priced at £19.99 ($29.99).
Set 11 months after the events of the second movie, Aliens: Colonial Marines will see marines crash-land on LV-426 and attempt to survive against the Xenomorph population.
It features a campaign that can be played in single-player or co-operatively by up to four players, along with enemies brand new to the Alien canon.
A collector's edition will also launch alongside the game, featuring a high-quality resin power loader figurine, a USCM dossier booklet and a host of in-game content usable in multiplayer.
Aliens: Colonial Marines will be available on February 12 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. A Wii U version has also been confirmed for the first quarter of 2013 and will receive an exact date closer to its release.
