The latest Dark Arisen video looks at some of the expansion's newly introduced monsters.
Voiced in Japanese - another new feature exclusive to the expansion - the trailer features flame-spewing beasts, skeletons, huge trolls and more.
While Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen was first announced last year as an add-on, it will actually be a full retail title, including the original game as well as the new Dark Arisen content.
The new content includes a massive underground area to explore, with 25 new enemy types and over 100 new pieces of high-level equipment to collect.
There are also new character customisation options, and all classes have been given a new third tier of skills.
Enhancements have been made to the original core game as well, including easier travel and an improved menu system.
Players of the original Dragon's Dogma will be able to import their characters and pawns into Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen to pick up from where they left off. They will also be rewarded with 100,000 rift crystals, unlimited ferrystones and the 'Gransys Armour Pack' with six new character costumes.
Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen will be available at retail on Xbox 360 and PS3 on April 23 in North America and April 26 in Europe. It will not be available with just the expansion content as DLC, however.
