"And we also have a strong games release this year, which will include the next release in the Batman Arkham franchise," read the transcription by Yahoo! Finance.

It added: "So all in all, we expect Warners to post another very strong year in 2013. And with a little luck, the year should be as good or maybe even a little bit better than 2012."

An additional report by VG247 has also suggested that it will not be developed by series helmer Rocksteady Studios.

The Batman: Arkham sequel could be called Batman Arkham Universe, Batman Arkham Arises or Batman Arkham Origins, according to recent domain name registrations.

It was previously reported that the next entry in the Arkham series could be a prequel set in DC's Silver Age.

It is said to depict Batman's first meeting with the Joker and introduce Justice League heroes such as Superman and Wonder Woman.
