According to Ubisoft's Yves Guillemot, the game will "push the boundaries of what was previously thought possible".

"Ubisoft has a strong history of supporting new technologies with unique and creative offerings," Guillemot explained.

"The power and capability of the PS4 allows the Watch Dogs team to further push the boundaries of what was previously thought possible in interactive entertainment," he added.

Watch Dogs sees players take control of a hacker named Aiden Pearce, who has an entire city's surveillance system at his disposal.

It takes place from the third-person perspective, combining all-out action segments with hacking mechanics.

Pearce can tap into people's electronic devices to gather intel on them, and infiltrate security systems vital to the city.
