The console version of the 3DS game will add Infernal Mode, which is a more challenging difficulty setting that also remixes enemy and item placement.
The reveal trailer also teases a new enemy named the Wall Blister, a creature created from the T-Abyss virus.
In addition, Resident Evil: Revelations will feature improved visuals, enhanced lighting effects and improvements to the Raid mode, introducing new weapons, skill sets and extra playable characters.
The game also takes advantage of Residentevil.net, giving players the opportunity to register for Revelations-themed content.
The Wii U edition will support off-screen GamePad play, but won't offer Wii remote pointer controls.
Resident Evil: Revelations will be available at retail on PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC from May 21 in North America and May 24 in Europe.
A downloadable version will also be available the same day on PS3 and PC, with Xbox 360 and Wii U versions to follow.
