Four million pre-orders for 'Halo 3'
The highly-anticipated game Halo 3 on the Xbox 360 has received over four million pre-orders, according to online reports.

Officials at Gamestop, EB Games and Funcoland stores in the United States are said to have confirmed the figure, which is far and away the largest in gaming history.

Halo 2 enjoyed 1.5 million pre-orders before its release but this latest news easily eclipses that.

Halo 3, which will be launched in three different versions, is still awaiting an official release date.
