Tony Hawk's Proving Ground, which will be released on 360, PS2, PS3, Wii and DS, will feature a wealth of new features.
Top of the list in the upgrades will be a video-editing mode allowing gamers to capture their best tricks and stunts in an attempt to impress fellow skateboarders.
Players will be able to switch between single-player and multi-player online modes during play, a host of customisation options will also be on offer and the well received Nail-the-Trick mode, which many believe saved the series last time round, also makes a rejuvinated comeback.
"Tony Hawk's Proving Ground drops players into the skateboarding world like never before," said president of developer Neversoft, Joel Jewett. "You can skate the best lines, define your own style and produce your own videos. You can even take it further by tricking out your own Skate Lounge, where you can hang out and skate with others online."
