'Metro: Last Light' story trailer looks at humankind's salvation

By
Metro: Last Light has been given a new trailer by Deep Silver.

The latest Metro: Last Light video focuses on the game's story, exploring the horrors of post-apocalyptic Moscow, before revealing humankind's only hope of salvation.

Releasing on May 17 in Europe and May 14 in North America, new Metro: Last Light publisher Deep Silver secured the rights to franchise alongside Saints Row and studio Volition from THQ.

Set within the underground train stations of post-apocalyptic Moscow, the new game will see multiple factions fight to secure a doomsday device hidden inside a vault.

The game will see the return of the original's bullet currency system, but made clearer and easier to use.

While it was announced with multiplayer, that has since been scrapped for the finished product to concentrate on the main campaign.

Metro: Last Light will be available on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
