'Minecraft' PC sales reach 10m, horses to be introduced in new update?

Minecraft's sales on PC have reached 10 million, it has been revealed.

Developer Jens Bergensten announced the news on Twitter, and teased the 1.6 update to the sandbox game.



A "subtle hint" provided was a picture of a horse, with the suggestion that it will be a "main" feature.

Last month it was revealed Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition had sold a total of six million copies, and sold 15 million copies across all platforms in 2012.

The Xbox 360 edition will be released at North American retail later this month.

Minecraft is also being considered for PlayStation devices once Mojang's contract with Microsoft expires.

The title was previously named the most popular game on Xbox Live, beating the likes of Modern Warfare 3 and FIFA.

It has previously been used to recreate planet Earth in-game, as well as locations from Game of Thrones.
