Players now have 5,000 new words to sketch out, a range of new drawing tools, a gallery for storing their creations and achievements to unlock.

Zynga, the maker of Farmville and Mafia Wars, acquired OMGPOP last year in a deal worth up to $200 million (£132.6 million), right at the height of Draw Something's popularity.

Draw Something became the fastest-growing mobile game of all time, but its popularity waned and Zynga had to write down around $95 million (£63 million) on the OMGPOP acquisition.

American Idol host Ryan Seacrest is currently producing a US game show based on the Draw Something format.
