'Watch Dogs' behind-the-scenes trailer explores PS4 development

By
Watch Dogs has been given a new behind-the-scenes trailer by Ubisoft.

The latest Watch Dogs video features interviews with members of the development team, who talk at length about creating the game for the PS4.

Senior producer Dominic Guay explains that the game's engine is very scalable, which means that the development team are able to flesh out the core experience on Sony's new platform.

Guay goes on to talk about the game's seamless connectivity, which allows players to interact with each other and create unique experiences without having to go through a lobby or menu screen.

Announced at last year's E3 event in Los Angeles, Watch Dogs will be a launch game for PlayStation 4 and is being planned for other next-generation consoles.

It sees players take control of a hacker named Aiden Pearce, who has an entire city's surveillance system at his disposal and can tap into people's electronic devices to gather intel on them and infiltrate security systems vital to the city.

It will feature innovative social features that allow users to access other players' games using smartphones.

Ubisoft has said that the game will be available in four different special editions. The Special Edition and the Vigilante Edition will be available exclusively at GAME, the Uplay Exclusive Edition from the company's online store and the Dedsec Edition at various UK retailers.

Watch Dogs will arrive on PC, PlayStation 3, Wii U and Xbox 360 on November 19 in North America and November 22 in the UK.
