Kicking off this year's set of E3 press conferences is Microsoft, which will begin streaming at 5:30pm UK time.

What can we expect from the 90 minute event? Microsoft says its E3 showing is "all about the games" and will offer "tons of exclusives".

> Follow our ongoing E3 2013 coverage

You can keep track of the announcements with the following live stream or via our blog updates below. The conference will start at 5:30pm UK time (12:30pm ET, 9:30am PT).

Hello and welcome to Digital Spy's coverage of Microsoft's E3 press conference!

19:08Join us at 9pm UK time for the Electronic Arts presentation, which will be followed by Ubisoft and Sony's conferences.

19:07But perhaps the biggest announcement is that the Xbox One will be available from November for $499/£429.

19:07A new Halo game was confirmed, footage from Ryse, Titanfall, Forza and Battlefield 4 was shown.

19:06That's it for Microsoft's E3 press conference. A new slimline Xbox 360 is available from today, PS Plus is essentially coming to Xbox Live.

19:05Mechs can also use magnetic repulsion to fire missiles back at enemies, and can rip pilots from opposing mechs.

19:04You can call for a mech to be dropped to your current location, which transforms your hub and unlocks lots of powerful new abilities.

19:02Players seem very agile, able to jump onto rooftops with ease.

19:01Respawn's Vince Zampella is on stage to introduce a gameplay demonstration. Apparently, Titanfall simply wasn't possible on previous consoles.

19:00Characters are seen using jetpacks and cloaking devices to battle huge mechs. It looks suitably chaotic.

18:58Finally, we're seeing a trailer for Respawn's Titanfall.

18:57Xbox One will be released in November for $499 in North America and £429 in the UK.

18:56Running at 60fps - for the first time - the brand new Halo will be developed by 343 Industries and released exclusively for Xbox One.

18:55Yep! Master Chief - wearing a ragged cloak - is confronted by a giant alien device in the middle of the desert.

18:53Is this Halo 5?

18:52Not much to go on, but looks like a stealth/action game.

18:51Black Tusk is assembling a world class team to create a brand new triple-A game for Xbox One.

18:51Phil Spencer is back on stage to talk about What Lies Below, a new game from Jim Guthrie.

18:49Battlefield 4: Second Assault is indeed a map pack. It will be released first on Xbox One.

18:47Jet fighters are seen sliding off the hangar of the ship as waves crash over the side. Typically dramatic!

18:45Finally, the demo kicks into life. It begins in the control room of a ship and looks mighty impressive.

18:44The Battlefield 4 demo is interrupted by a technical hitch. Battlefield 4: Second Assault is listed as an Xbox One exclusive...DLC perhaps?

18:42EA and Dice are out to showcase actual Battlefield 4 gameplay footage running at 60fps.

18:41Geralt is shown riding horses, entering towns and fighting huge enemies. It looks very impressive.

18:41We're seeing actual gameplay footage from the multi-region fantasy epic.

18:39Xbox One will contain exclusive Kinect features, such as changing party members with voice commands.

18:39The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is up next. Unsurprisingly, it will be released on Xbox One and features 100-hours of non-linear gameplay.

18:38Using Smartglass, Nick can call air support, eliminating tens of zombies in the city centre.

18:37As with previous Dead Rising games, Nick can drive vehicles, only this time the zombies can latch on. Understandably, Nick crashes!

18:36Nick just crafted a sledgesaw - part sledgehammer, part buzzsaw!

18:35That's a lot of zombies! Nick can distract the undead by throwing items, but the most effective way to survive is to kill everything you see.

18:34Once again you can pick up pretty much anything to use as a weapon. Nick appears to be able to craft new weapons on the fly.

18:33Taking place 72 hours after the zombie outbreak, Dead Rising 3 features a new lead and takes place in Los Perdidos.

18:31Dead Rising 3 is announced for Xbox One!

18:31Crimson Dragon is announced as an Xbox One exclusive. It's from the makers of Panzer Dragoon and supports Kinect.

18:30Xbox Live is officially ditching Microsoft Points. Players are no longer limited to 100 friends and Gold memberships will be transferred over to the Xbox one.

18:29Players can also live broadcast gameplay on Twitch TV. Using Kinect and shouting Xbox Broadcast, games are automatically broadcast on Twitch.

18:28Killer Instinct is demonstrated by the game's producer. He uploads the video to the Xbox Upload Studio.

18:25Marc Whitten is now on stage to discuss Smartglass among other things.

18:24Other players can remix the levels you've created. A video was shown of games created by Project Spark testers. Lots of potential for some really enjoyable games.

18:22Looks like a lot of fun. Players can morph the landscape to defend against an army of goblins.

18:21Players can create worlds in seconds using Smartglass and Kinect. Each item has a behaviour which leads to potential gameplay scenarios.

18:19Next up is Project Spark from Microsoft Studios. Using Smartglass, players can create new worlds.

18:19Our video feed went down as Deadly Premonition director Swery65 unveiled a new game called D4

18:17Time has frozen as the game's protagonist attempts to save a woman from an explosion.

18:15We're about to see real-time in-game footage.

18:15Next up is Quantum Break from Alan Wake and Max Payne developer Remedy. It was announced at the Xbox One reveal.

18:13First up is Minecraft. Bigger maps, better multiplayer and more magic!

18:12Phil Harrison is on stage next. He's talking about indie games, something which Microsoft is keen to promote.

18:12Lots of impressive light, dirt and smoke effects. Forza will be available at launch for Xbox One.

18:10It's not about creating better racing AI, it's about recreating real human behaviour. A gameplay trailer is now running.

18:09They're pushing a new system called Drivatar! Drivatar learns your racing style and even races for you when you're at work or school.

18:08The new Forza isn't just about better graphics, it's about "air you can taste and texture you can feel".

18:07It's Forza Motorsport 5, of course, as a McLaren P1.

18:06Next up is a trailer exploring the history of the McClaren racing team.

18:06It's very colourful and could be a lot of fun. No additional details have been revealed.

18:05Looks like free-running will play a huge part in the game as the lead character is shown using ziplines and vaulting objects to kill aliens.

18:04Insomniac's Ted Price is on stage to announce stylised shooter Sunset Overdrive.

18:03Killer Instinct is confirmed with a new trailer! No additional details, but the huge combos make a return. Huge round of applause from the crowd!

18:02It will launch exclusively for Xbox One at launch, and is playable at the conference.

18:01Crytek's Cevat Yerli is on stage to discuss Ryse: Son of Rome.

18:00Players can call on archers to fire arrows when surrounded by enemies. It's all very dramatic.

17:59In the city walls the soldiers must now destroy that nuisance catapult. They're going to use it on the tower.

17:58Soldiers can join forces to form a shield against arrows, while combat looks like it relies on quick-time events.

17:57An army of Roman soldiers storms a beach, avoiding catapult fire and a barrage of arrows.

17:55Very dramatic intro, and it looks like we're going to get some gameplay footage.

17:54Right, it's all about Xbox One from now on. Phil Spencer kicks things off with a trailer for Ryse.

17:53The lead character is shown battling numerous bosses and enemies. It's out in 2014.

17:52Dark Souls 2 is also confirmed for the Xbox 360 with a stunning gameplay trailer.

17:51Max: The Curse of Brotherhood features 2D platforming gameplay in a 3D world. It looks like good fun!

17:50Another new Xbox 360 release is announced by Danish studio Press Play.

17:50Releasing this summer, World of Tanks will be redesigned for the Xbox 360 controller and contain 15-vs-15 multiplayer.

17:49The Xbox 360 is the perfect match for World of Tanks by all accounts.

17:48World of Tanks Xbox 360 Edition is coming soon. The Wargaming CEO is on stage to confirm the news.

17:46Looks like a promo for World of Tanks.

17:46Assassin's Creed 2 and Halo 3 will be the first two free games for Gold members.

17:45Gold members will receive two free game downloads per month...It's basically the same as PS Plus, but we're not complaining.

17:45Microsoft has just announced a new slimmer, quieter Xbox 360. It will be available from today!

17:4413 next-generation titles are promised, but not before an Xbox 360 announcement.

17:43Hideo Kojima and Don Matrick are on stage. Just a quick hello from Kojima. Matrick remains on stage.

17:42Kiefer Sutherland lending his voice to proceedings.

17:41Finally. We're seeing footage from the latest Metal Gear Solid. Snake is back and he's Hell bound.

17:38Our video is still down, but we're reliably informed that Metal Gear is kicking things off at Microsoft's E3 conference.

17:37A DS reader has suggested that a Kinect game will be shown first. That's not a bad shout. Ryse, perhaps?

17:35Any second now...

17:33We're guessing Halo 5 will be shown at the end of the conference. Perhaps more from Forza or Call of Duty?

17:32Let's try to guess the first game announcement.

17:31Hmm, the video feed has gone down again. Should we be worried?

17:28What would you like to see? Phil Spencer has teased one surprise announcement that nobody has guessed...

17:26Microsoft will reportedly demonstrate 20 games. Halo 5, Fable 4 and Project Gotham have all been tipped.
