Xbox One 'Halo' title announced by Microsoft - E3 2013

By
Microsoft has announced a new entry in the Halo series exclusively for Xbox One.

The untitled game was confirmed for a 2014 release during the company's E3 2013 press conference today (June 10).

Attendees were shown footage of series protagonist Master Chief in a ragged cloak, confronted by a giant alien device in the middle of a desert.

Developed by 343 Industries, the new Halo title is said to "take full advantage of the power and flexibility of Xbox One" and run at 60 frames-per-second.

It was announced at Microsoft's E3 press conference, alongside Xbox One pricing and release information.

Dead Rising 3 was also announced, alongside Ryse, Titanfall and Project Spark.

The company also unveiled a brand new slimmer, quieter Xbox 360 and revealed plans to ditch Microsoft Points.
