Assassin's Creed 2 made its debut on Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2009, and was followed by a PC release in 2010.

It introduced a new lead character named Ezio, and takes place in Italy during the Renaissance period.

It was followed by Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and Revelations, which also starred Ezio, before introducing a new lead and location for Assassin's Creed 3.
