'Grand Theft Auto 5' PC petition amasses 200,000 signatures

Rockstar Games is under increased pressure to release a PC port of Grand Theft Auto 5 after a fan petition demanding the move passed 200,000 signatures.

Fewer than 100,000 more people must pledge their support to the Change.org campaign before an official request is mailed to the studio.

The movement has gained momentum in recent months, adding around 50,000 signatures since February, according to GameSpot.

Recent reports suggest that a PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5 is likely, with a job advertisement at Rockstar hinting at home computer ports and retailers listing the game for the platform.

Grand Theft Auto 5's first gameplay trailer was released earlier this month.
