'3DS Guide: Louvre' is Nintendo's first region-free 3DS title

By
Nintendo 3DS Guide: Louvre is the first region-free 3DS title from Nintendo.

Although the Nintendo 3DS hardware is region-locked, Nintendo has confirmed to Kotaku that the Western edition of the retail version of the software functions in North America, Europe and Australasia.
The title contains over 600 images of artwork from the French museum, in addition to more than 400 3D photos of the museum's interior and roughly 30 hours of audio commentary.

Users can zoom in on select paintings to view them up close, or they can take a three-dimensional look at sculptures like the Venus de Milo.

Available in the European Nintendo eShop for £17.99, the digital version of Nintendo 3DS Guide: Louvre launches December 2 in North America for $19.99.

The packaged version of the virtual guide is available exclusively at the Louvre gift shop.
