A Taiwan-based manufacturer has launched an LCD TV screen shield designed to protect against flying Wii Remotes.

The contraption is expected to be welcomed by owners of the Nintendo console as recent reports have allegedly shown a number of accidents where TV screens have been smashed during overzealous play.

Designed to fit 30 to 46 inch LCD screens, Lcdarm has created the shield with "strong impacted resistance". The firm also claims it will protect the TV screen from scratches and dust and reduces UV rays.

No pricing details were available at the time of writing.
