High-street giant HMV has told GamesIndustry.biz that the PlayStation 3 console is hitting their sales targets, with the chain predicting a further boost when Sony opts to lower the price.
Tim Ellis, head of games for HMV, said: "Sales remain in line with expectations, occasionally even exceeding them. We're looking forward to further games releases, and when the time's right, a suitable price revision to take the console to its next level of sales."
The games stalwart also praised Nintendo during the recent supply problems of their Wii console. Ellis said: "Supply is stabilising and Nintendo is doing a very good job of keeping us updated on key developments."
