WiiWare channel to offer low cost games

Japanese giant Nintendo has revealed it is to introduce a new WiiWare channel through its online shop, with the first content due to arrive early next year.
WiiWare will offer developers the chance to sell new games through the service, with fledgling firms expected to offer new 'creative' titles that may be considered too risky to release commercially.
A Nintendo spokesman said: "WiiWare paves the way for smaller, more creative games to make their way to the public at lower prices, without any inventory risk to developers".
Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime said in an official announcement: "Independent developers armed with small budgets and big ideas will be able to get their original games into the marketplace to see if we can find the next smash hit."
