The firm's XCM.cc website states: "This cable will be the world first HDMI 1080P cable for Regular Xbox 360,with this cable you can enjoy the digital 1080P output signal on HD TV :)".
XCM, which has also issued a concept picture of the cable, added: "The cable itself is nearly finished and will be completed in approximately four weeks."
Although many in the industry are doubting these claims, if they transpire to be true it would be a major blow for Microsoft as it plans to promote the HDMI port of its forthcoming Xbox 360 Elite console as its major selling point.
