Online e-tailer play.com has launched an alternative to Sony's much publicised PS3 Starter Pack, which goes on sale across the UK tomorrow.
The official Sony Starter Pack will retail at £425 and offer one 60Gb PlayStation 3 console, two Sixaxis controllers and a choice of two first-party games from Genji, Resistance, MotorStorm, Formula One and Ridge Racer 7.
Play's own pack sells for £399.99 and includes a 60Gb PlayStation 3 console, one Sixaxis controller, an HDMI cable, Click on Blu-ray and three games - MotorStorm, Genji and Resistance: Fall of Man.
While Sony claims that its pack would cost £115 more than its selling price if sold separately, Play claims its pack is worth £214.95 more that its sell through price.
