Army of Two focuses on two-man missions, two-man strategies, two-man tactics and a two-man advantage with gameplay both online and offline.
The game promises to "throw gamers into hot spots ripped from current day headlines where they will utilise unique two man strategies and tactics while seamlessly transitioning between playing with intelligent Partner AI (PAI) and a live player".
The title also promises music penned by Trevor Morris, who has worked on numerous Hollywood movies including The Last Samurai, Pirates of the Caribbean and Black Hawk Down.
Reid Schneider, senior producer at EA Montréal, said: "This is the game we've always wanted to create. Until now, the hardware would not allow us to deliver truly intelligent AI characters. We've built this game with co-operative two man gameplay as the centerpiece of the experience."
Army of Two will be released November 15 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
