Sony has launched a competition to find a new character for its forthcoming fantasy adventure game Folklore.
Gamers wishing to enter the contest must create an illustration of a new Folk character, give them a name, provide a description and then detail their unique attack.
There are over 100 dark, supernatural Folk characters in the game, each one featuring their own unique magical power that the player absorbs to help them travel through Netherworld.

Designs will be judged by a panel from Japan's Game Republic Studios and the winning design will be turned into a real Folk character, downloadable from the PlayStation Store, while the winner, as well as four runners-up, will also receive a copy of the game and a Folklore goody bag.
More information on the game is at www.folklore-game.com and those wishing to enter the competition can e-mail their entries to competitions@community.eu.playstation.com by October 22.
Folklore, which will be released on PlayStation 3 on October 12, is the vision of Yoshiki Okamoto, the executive producer for Devil May Cry and Resident Evil.
