BAFTA Games Awards to be televised

This year's BAFTA Games Awards ceremony is to be televised on E4 and Channel 4, organisers have announced.
Hosted by comedian Vic Reeves, the event, which will be held at London's Battersea Evolution on October 23, will be broadcast on E4 on November 4 at 11pm and repeated on Channel 4 the following weekend.
The nominations list for this year's BAFTA Games Awards features 52 games across 15 categories, with Nintendo's Wii Sports leading the field with seven nominations, including Best Game, Casual, Gameplay, Innovation and Multiplayer.
Games Crackdown, Gears of War, God of War and Okami have also received five nominations, while Gears of War joins BioShock, amongst others, nominated in the PC World Gamers' Award - the only award to be voted for by the public.
