Canadian games company Ludia Inc. has announced it is to release a videogame based on the Granada Hell's Kitchen television series.
The multi-year, worldwide agreement, which will see the firm develop the title on Wii, DS and PC for the UK market, will be fronted by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay as he heads up the kitchen with his trademark style.
“We are thrilled that Granada, a highly respected and successful global media company, is entrusting us with the Hell’s Kitchen property,” Ludia founder and CEO Alex Thabet explained. “The show has millions of viewers, and the game will bring the fun of the kitchen boot camp experience from the TVs to the PCs and consoles of this rapidly growing audience.”
According to Ludia, the game will see Ramsay "comment on the culinary creations of players, as well as judge their overall performance. The game will also feature a recipe book with several of Gordon Ramsay’s favourite food concoctions for players to print, try out and share."
Hell's Kitchen is scheduled for a UK release in summer 2008.
