'Need for Speed' Xmas No.1 favourite

Bookmaker Paddy Power has announced odds for gamers who fancy a flutter on the best-selling titles this yule, with Electronic Arts' Need for Speed: ProStreet favourite to top the charts on December 25.

Due for release on November 23 on DS, PC, PS2, PS3, X360 and PSP, with a Wii edition expected a week later on November 30, the bookmaker has opened the car game's odds at evens.

Football game FIFA 08 is tipped to finish in second place with odds of 3/1, while Halo 3, which was released back in September, is predicted to bow out on a high at number three with odds of 4/1.

The bookmaker has offered some wacky odds, however, predicting banned game Manhunt 2 win be in the top ten, offering 14/1 on the title. In addition, it is offering 50/1 on the hotly-tipped Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, due for release November 23.
