Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 has managed to fight off strong competition from EA's FIFA 08 this week as it keeps its number one position in the latest all-formats games chart.
Konami's game sold twice as many copies as its rival, despite seeing a 52% drop in sales since its launch week.
FIFA 08 has been at number two now for three weeks running, while EA's The Simpsons game is this week's highest new entry at number 3.
Thanks to its dominance at the box office, movie spin-off Ratatouille continues to sell well with sales increasing week-on-week, rising one place from last week's number 5.
Halo 3 saw sales increase by 46% this week thanks to the game being included in hardware bundles, and EA's The Sims: Castaway jumped from 19 last week to number 7.
Nintendo oldies More Brain Training from Dr Kawashima and Dr Kawashima’s Brain Training also saw increases in sales thanks to a new high-profile TV advertising campaign starring Patrick Stewart and Julie Walters, ending this week at numbers 8 and 9 respectively.
