Sony has unveiled version 2.0 of its PlayStation 3 firmware update, with the latest enhancement offering a host of goodies to console gamers.
New additions include the ability to switch on and off the PS3 remotely using the Portable PlayStation handheld, should you own both.
Personalisation has now been improved, allowing users to personalise music and photo playlists, as well as offering gamers the chance to apply a custom theme to the Cross Media Bar (XMB).
An information board will also be added to the XMB, providing up-to-date PlayStation news, while the addition of a new PlayStation Network option and logo has been designed to give gamers easier navigation.
The update also includes Trend Micro Web Security, designed to give parents peace of mind when their youngsters are online.
