GAME posts record £70 million profit

The industry stalwart, which boasts over 400 stores across the UK and Ireland, puts its success down to its visible high street presence, its ability to stock the latest titles and its numerous deals, such as 'Played It? Trade It', allowing gamers to trade in their old titles for anything in the store.
Should the firm hit the £70 million profit figure it claims it expects to announce, it will mark a major leap over its 2006 profit of £29.6 million.
