Games developer salaries revealed

For those considering a career working in the games industry, a report published today illustrates the amount of money budding whizz kids could be earning.
A career working on the latest games as an artist, designer or programmer is becoming very alluring, with many universities around the UK now offering degree courses related to the subject.
A report by trade paper MCV, which says it secured the information from a games industry recruitment agency, shows that higher-ranked games programmers are now earning as much as £60k per annum, while lead artists are also earning almost as much at £55k per year.

Development Programmer:
Junior: £18-£25k
Regular: £20-£35k
Senior: £35k-£50k
Lead: £40-£60k
Artist:
Junior: £18k -£21k
Regular: £20-£27k
Senior: £27-£35k
Lead: £38-£55k
Designer:
Junior: £18-£21k
Regular: £20-£28k
Senior: £25-£35k
Lead: £38-£55k
Producer:
Junior: £18-£27k
