A sequel to the best-selling PlayStation 2 game God of War 2 will not now be released until at least Christmas 2009.
The eagerly-awaited game, which is penned in for a PlayStation 3 release, was rumoured to be scheduled for release late this year.
A 'reliable Sony source' is quoted by GamesRadar stating that God of War III will not now be released for around two years.
Information on the Greek mythology game is scarce at present, but it is believed the action adventure will support 1080p and the Sixaxis controller, as well as the new rumble feature.
