Bell, who also plays Griffin in the movie, has had his face and body digitised for the game as well as providing the in-game voice-overs for the character.
“It’s flattering that someone has seen my character and wanted to make it into a video game,” Bell said of his participation. “Griffin is a unique character and I think if people respond to the movie they’ll love the game.”
Due for release February 22 on PlayStation 2, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii, Jumper: Griffin's Story will extend the movie's plotline. It follows a 'jumper' determined to avenge the death of his parents at the hands of the Paladins.
The movie, which opens in cinemas across the UK tomorrow, also stars Samuel L Jackson and is based on the 1992 Steve Gould novel of the same name.
The premise for the $85 million dollar film follows a genetic abnormality that allows a young man to teleport himself anywhere. He discovers this gift has existed for centuries and finds himself in a war that has been raging for thousands of years between 'Jumpers' and 'Paladins'.
