Sega's official game of the Beijing 2008 Olympics has reclaimed its place at number one in the latest all-formats games chart.
Following the release of the handheld version of the game two weeks ago, the title, which has already held the top spot three times in the past, has stormed back up the charts, with latest figures revealing an impressive 93% of all sales of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games during the past week were of the Nintendo DS version.
Acclaimed slasher Devil May Cry 4 spent only one week at the top, dropping to second place, while the best-selling game of 2007 Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare rose three places to become this week's number four.
After last week's avalanche of new titles, just two new entries hit the top 40, with Midway's Wii title Game Party at number 15 and 505 Games' Cooking Mama 2 on DS at number 33.
The hotly-tipped Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings on Nintendo DS failed to enter the all-formats top 40 and only managed to reach number 17 in the latest Nintendo DS games chart.
