A sequel to the acclaimed PlayStation 3 launch game Resistance: Fall of Man has been confirmed, with developer Insomniac hinting at an autumn release for the title.
In a press release, the developer confirmed: "Insomniac Games is currently developing Resistance 2, which will release this fall, exclusively for PS3."
The announcement was made following the release of a developer video, which stated July 8 as an important date for the title, prompting some industry watchers, including Spong, to speculate that Insomniac will release a demo of the game on this date.
The original Resistance: Fall of Man caused controversy last year by depicting Manchester Cathedral in the game without permission.
