Television production company Endemol has announced plans for web-based video game spinoffs of its most popular TV programmes.
The Big Brother producer is keen to enter the lucrative casual video game business by releasing web-based titles.
The firm's first two titles will be based on game shows Deal of No Deal and 1 vs 100
"Our view is that TV and video games are coming closer and closer together, and the casual games group will be right in that sweet spot," said Endemol's senior VP of digital media Jon Vlassopulos.
Endemol already has licensed deals for games based on its TV properties, but the firm held onto web-based rights for some of its portfolio.
