'Resident Evil Zero: Wii Edition' unveiled

'Resident Evil 4'

Capcom's survival horror epic Resident Evil Zero is in development for the Nintendo Wii, according to Japanese games magazine Famitsu.

Entitled Resident Evil Zero: Wii Edition, the title, which will also incorporate full Wii Remote controls, will follow last year's successful release of Resident Evil 4 on the Nintendo console.

Unique to the game is that, while every other Resident Evil title only allows the player to control one character, Resident Evil Zero features the 'partner zapping' system, allowing the gamer to simultaneously control Rebecca Chambers and Billy Coen.

Resident Evil Zero: Wii Edition will be released in Japan this summer, but Capcom has yet to unveil UK launch plans.
