A bid to break the record for the world's largest gathering of games characters has been announced by the Guinness World Records: Gamer's Edition.
The publishers of the forthcoming 2009 edition of the book will make the record attempt on March 18 at the Millennium Bridge in London.
Gamers interested in helping the attempt should attend dressed as their favourite game character, from Dante (Devil May Cry) to Gabe Logan (Syphon Filter).
The publishers of the book promise that all characters taking part in the record attempt will be featured in the Guinness World Records: Gamer's Edition 2009 as well as on the website, and they will also receive a gift for their efforts.
Guinness World Records also added it is looking for record-breaking scores achieved by gamers. Users can upload their scores to the organisation's website.
