Activision's CEO Bobby Kotick has hinted that the firm is considering developing a MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online) game based on its best-selling Call of Duty series.

During a speech at the Morgan Stanley Technology Conference in California, Kotick spoke of his firm's future ambitions in the MMO maket following its merger with Blizzard-owning publisher Vivendi.

He said: "When you think about other properties that we own and control like Call of Duty, and what would be the natural evolution of a property like Call of Duty into a massively multiplayer environment.”

Blizzard title World of Warcraft is currently the world's most popular Massively Multiplayer Online game with over 10 million subscribers.
