Sony has released the latest PlayStation 3 firmware update earlier that expected after it previously announced it would not be available until "late March".
From today, PlayStation 3 users can download software version 2.20, giving them access to interactive movie functionality entitled BD-Live, including the option to resume a movie at the point it was switched off, even if the disc was removed.
Users have been eagerly awaiting the update since its imminent availability was announced last week.
