Xbox 360: '1m ahead of PS3 in the UK'
Following news that sales of the PS3 and Xbox 360 were almost 'neck and neck' during the Easter break, Chart Track has revealed the Xbox 360 is still around one million sales ahead of Sony's console in the UK.

Dorian Bloch, director of UK sales monitor Chart Track, told GamesIndustry: "We are very close to clocking through 2 million 360s in the UK. It should be next week.

"The Xbox 360 is extremely well liked in the UK and very strong. Sony has a long way to go to overtake it in the UK."

Following the Easter break, however, sales of the Xbox 360 dropped by 11%, while the PS3 saw a rise of 14%, thanks largely to the launch of the Gran Turismo 5: Prologue hardware bundle.

Sales of the PlayStation 3 reached one million in the UK by February of this year, reaching the milestone figure just ahead of the Xbox 360.
