Ubisoft announces new 'Tom Clancy' game
Following news last month that French games firm UbiSoft paid £47 million to sign the rights to the Tom Clancy brand, the publisher has announced a new next-gen video game featuring the renowned author's name.

Hawx, which stands for High Altitude Warfare X, promises to bring the flight simulation genre to the Tom Clancy stable of tactical shooters.

The game joins forthcoming real-time strategy game Tom Clancy's EndWar as one of a new range of titles to emerge under the author's name.

According to Ubisoft, Hawx will feature "50 planes, boast lots of above-the-ground technology and allow players to command an entire squadron of fighters".

Hawx is scheduled for release this autumn on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
