'Mario Super Sluggers' announced for Wii
Published Friday, Apr 11 2008, 19:04 BST | By David Gibbon

Mario Super Sluggers is a baseball game and promises to "blend richly interactive baseball action with eccentric characters and elements from across the popular Mario universe".
Nintendo claims the title, which will allow players to swing the Wii Remote like a baseball bat, will offer "the same intuitive, easy-to-learn controls that helped make Wii Sports a living room hit".
Mario Super Sluggers will be released in Japan this June, but a UK launch date has yet to be announced.
