Wii titles to offer new 'physical experience'

Activision chief Bobby Kotick has revealed that future versions of Guitar Hero and other titles on Wii will utilise an all-new 'physical interface' currently being developed by the firm.
Kotick said his company is working on a better way of creating a 'physical experience' on the Nintendo console than has been seen in the past, adding that the firm is currently "in the very, very earliest stage".
Speaking to Conde Nast, Kotick said the new system Activision is developing can also be applied to other titles such as Star Wars and fishing games.
“Let’s take Wii. There are opportunities to add to the physical experience, whether it’s guitars or the Star Wars game—in which you have a lightsaber—or fishing," Kotick said.
"Having that physical connection with what you see on the screen is bringing in audiences that never would have tried games. But we’re in the very, very earliest stage of physical interface.”
